Grinding along

I know that I have been slacking off on my Bloging lately,so today I thought I would try to get back into the swing of it. My life is very busy with 2 jobs and 4 children a big house and a wife who works. Simuality has been a great time in all of this. When we meet the person who is going to get behind us with some serious money it will be even better. We just moved into our new office today and it is nice enough. It is funny that it is located next to the YMCA where I spent quite a large portion of my youth. I come from a divorced family and every weekend I spent with my father who took me to the YMCA. We would play basketball and swim and I loved going there. Another coincidence is that a close friend of mine owns the space we are renting. I also spent a good deal of time with him on the weekends when I was older. We would party and loose brain cells together. So the old saying what goes around comes around really seems right for this space.

Good bye Lois

I have not had a post of late because we lost a very close family member, Lois my mother in law. Lois was a very interesting person to say the least. She was best known for her Adopt a Huskie program that she founded. She was herself alone responsible for rescuing over 1100 hundred dogs. She also was an obedience trainer who had the first and only grand champion Huskie. She went on dog races such as the yukon invitational , it was known to be way more intense than the ididarod which she also participated.I loved Lois for her energy and Spirit, she was a woman of great substance and we will always miss her.

Is anybody out there?

I am not sure if anyone reads my blog, but I continue to type. Today was a day like no other. I was Trading futures online and it was not pretty. I was losing quite a bit of cash and I dont like that. However I was able to get 98 percent of the money back by the end of the day. My other job in the virtual world has been going ok. We have sent out many proposals for work and are waiting to hear back from the prospects. We like most start ups, are hungry for Business and would like to start making the big money. We are going to an MIT technology conference tonight and we expect to make some nice network connections. I hope that someone is reading this so I am not just doing it for myself.

Belle of the Ball

Ok now that we have taken the tarp off our new product that is going to revolutionize the way people advertise in virtual worlds, How fast and how many companies are going to copy it? I am in the Business of predications and I right now predict that many companies and metaverse will try to copy Slippcat. We are the first by far and were very well received at the VW conference last week.It was great to see the kind of interest we got. We are here to stay and intend to be the front runner, that is just how it is. We actually were the only ones I saw at the conference that had a real solution on how to monetize this infant industry. The rest will try to copy us but will need to built the metrics and the product first.

Taking care of Business

Well it was quite a interesting week. I went to the Midwest Venture Capital Summit in Chicago to look for funding for our company. What an interesting group. A good many companies looking for funding and a good amount of venture capital companies examining the companies. My associate and I spoke with and gave presentations to several of the VCs. Some got our concept and expressed interest, and some looked at me as if I was out of my mind and had not a clue of what the virtual metaverse was. This was fun, the looks that I got were hysterical, virtual reality? whats that? said one ederly gentleman. The key note speaker who is a friend of a friend also did not have any idea of what web3D was, he said that so many new things are coming out that I dont know about and this is one of them. He gave $70,000 Dollars to one company as a grant although and I thought that was cool. The VCs that did show interest are still looking into our Business model but I really am starting to believe that we belong on the West Coast as the thinkers are more progressive than the Midwest, oh well the conservative Midwest bankers can stick to the conservative deals and not be part of the internet evolution. We march on. I am getting more excited about the Virtual Worlds Conference that my associates and I are going to April 3 and 4 we will take care of Business at that show as we will be all about monetizing the Virtual Worlds.

Working in a coal mine

I have been grinding along ,looking for more investment capital and business opportunities. All has been going well our company has really started to take off. We have Tommy in from Belgium he has really been quite an inspiration, he spends alot of time in world doing all the things that need tending to. Our staff really has been working hard to get everything ready for our up coming Virtual Worlds Conference April, 3rd and 4th in New York City, we very much believe that we will be a big hit and gain many new clients for our new product Slippcat. We are very excited about its introduction at the show.Advertising in the metaverse will never be the same again. We also have formed a strategic partnership with code 4 software, this has been a very important move for us and we think that we have saved much time and money doing it. My day starts at 5am and I trade electronic futures until about 8 or 9 am , then I start making cold calls for new clients as well as calls for investment capital,I do this until about 11am when I go to work out, I play racquetball until about 1pm and then hit the computer again to send out e mail to the contacts I made in the morning, this goes on until about 4 or 5 pm, after that I start to deal with the real work, caring for and driving my 4 children to various activities that they participate in, at 8pm I put the 2 small girls in bed and I hang out with the older ones and watch TV until 9 or 10pm that is when I fall asleep.
